In April, I promised to return with updates so here I am, keeping that promise! They say it’s better late than never.

So much has happened since then, so let’s dive into what I’ve been up to.

What I’m Writing About:

When I fantasize, I fantasize about what my body feels like when wrapped in an embrace, what a tongue feels like as it brushes over my lips, and what fingertips feel like when they sink into my flesh. I imagine my body being stretched, and then filled, and then emptied. I imagine sweat running down my back and hot, sticky breath on my face and neck. These are very vivid feelings and memories that I store in my body and let wash over me when I’m alone in the dark.

Since my last update, I’ve explored many things in my Pillow Talk with Jessie Sage column for Pittsburgh City Paper—everything from lighthearted musings to more profound issues.

Most recently I wrote a piece about how living with aphantasia (the inability to form mental images) shapes my sexual fantasies. Without the ability to form mental images, my fantasies focus on touch and sensation instead of visual details. This condition has had a profound impact on my work, relationships, and even trauma processing. It’s been an eye-opening experience, blending the unusual with the intense in ways that others might not imagine.

What I’m Talking About:

Season 2 of my podcast When We’re Not Hustling is in full swing. Since the podcast began, we’ve had over 30 amazing guests, and I’ve loved every conversation!

It’s been a blast speaking with so many people in the sex industry about their lives, dreams, goals, and desires. In a recent episode, I talked to Amber Délice, an independent Boulder-based companion, about the fascinating immersive theater experiences she curates outside of sex work; experiences that focus on transformation through the art and conversation.

What I’m Excited About:

Big news—When We’re Not Hustling is going live! You may remember from my last Musing that I spoke about writing a chapter for the book The Holy Hour: An Anthology of Sex Work, Magic, and the Divine on Working Girls Press and attending the book launch event in NYC.

Well, we’re bringing the party to Pittsburgh with Holy Hours: Reading, Discussion & Live Podcast Taping! Through a collaboration with Working Girls Press, SWOP Pittsburgh. The event is at Stay Gold Books and we’ll have live music, a discussion panel and special guests reading excerpts from the book!

The event is on October 16th and you’re invited!

I’m also excited to say I was invited to be a panelist at the 2024 Philly Fatcon! The whole event is geared towards generating fat joy and building community. If you’re in Philly and you’re interested in coming, you can RSVP HERE!

If this sounds like something you’d find interesting, but October in Philly doesn’t work for your schedule, I’m one of the invited speakers at the Seattle FatCon at the end of January!

I recently also set up a wishlist on Throne, and it’s been amazing to receive so many books to expand my personal library! I’m always excited about new books!

Booking & Availability:

Here’s a peek at my upcoming tours for the rest of the year and early 2025. I’ve scaled back a bit due to some exciting opportunities, but I’ll still be available in Pittsburgh between travels. I would love an opportunity to return to NYC sometime in the not-too-distant future, so if you have a compelling reason, please let me know!

October 4-6: Indianapolis, IN – Offering duos with my beautiful friend Mia Grey! We already have a few exciting duos lined up, but there is always room for one more!

October 18-20: Philadelphia, PA

January 16-19: Denver, CO

January 30-February 3: Seattle, WA

Also, for 1 day only (October 15th!), I’ll be offering duos with Molly Simmons (the co-founder of Working Girls Press) in Pittsburgh! Want to spend a stimulating and seductive evening with two sex-working writers? We promise a Holy Hour (or many!).

Other than those dates, I will be taking bookings in Pittsburgh, in between plunking away at the keys and recording into a mic.
